M&E, M&E, M&E, IT’S ALL ABOUT M&E!!

Fortunately, John Unwin is not having a diva moment as he becomes the second person to be welcomed into the J. P. Wild fold during November.

As part of our continued growth, J. P. Wild has recruited an experienced in house M&E Contracts Manager to assist with the delivery of the Mechanical and Electrical works for ongoing projects.  This resource will allow us to provide expertise to our clients for the more technically complex projects that have design and build responsibility for M&E as part of the main contract works.  By having this M&E resource we are able to take full control of the supply chain and offer better value to our clients by delivering a larger proportion of the works “in house” and managing specialist subcontractors directly.

A particularly notable example of this new structure working successfully is on our recently reported and largest commercial awarded project to date by London & Scottish Property, Asset Manager to owners Regional REIT Limited, at 3200 Century Way, Thorpe Park Business Park, east of Leeds, where we are set to deliver a substantial 26 weeks office refurbishment programme of close to £2 million that incorporates full design and build responsibility for the mechanical and electrical services, including a new BMS system, new VRF system, ventilation remodelling, full electrical distribution upgrades including new landlord and tenant sub metering plus new lighting scheme throughout the building, whilst engaging with both our client and their new tenant to ensure the project is delivered to the satisfaction of all.

This new string to our bow, in conjunction with the other recent additions to the team, can only enhance and elevate our service offering and standing, as a Principal Contractor, to the marketplace.

In a current economic climate where, very sadly, a debt ridden construction industry remains under continued pressure and is experiencing the highest insolvency rates, J. P Wild remains solvent and continues to seek sustained and controlled growth.
